Gunboat 62 "Safari", Sail of My Life

BTW, I had the sail of my life on Safari 10 days ago. Wind west at 35-50. Took off out of Newport with just Paul, double reefed main and spitfire, heading very deep toward Woods Hole. Between CuttyHunk and Horsneck Beach, Buzzard's Bay was ebbing, stacking up the waves short and big (12-14 ft). We rode those babies all the way to Hadley Harbor, surfing at up to 24 knots. The boat felt completely smooth and in control as we obliterated the waves in front, spray engulfing the pilothouse. I appreciated every inch of the bows and freeboard. I would not want to be out there in anything but a GB62. Nice design job Pete! She did you proud. Absolutely no failures of any kind and the rudders running smooth.
Cheers
CC
