The 62' Luxury Performance Sailing Catamaran "Mala Conducta"
This Morrelli & Melvin 62 is a family cruising boat with a lot of green and fast bells and whistles. Why waste energy pushing a lot of weight around the world when your designers have a proven track record of employing lightweight, strong, durable and energy efficient technology?
Morrelli & Melvin worked closely with Mala Conducta's owners and with Lyman Morse Boat building in Thomaston, Maine to design, build and deliver Lyman Morse's first catamaran. Through hand holding and great coast-to-coast communication, the team launched Mala Conducta, with our signature reverse bows, in the frigid waters of Maine in April 2009.
This gorgeous custom cruising catamaran sparkles inside and out. She has Kevlar/E-glass prepreg outer skins, with P or Nomex core, and carbon prepreg inner skins. Her combination Kevlar/E-glass and prepreg carbon fiber deck was built in one large piece.
Mala Conducta has all of the features of a cruising yacht, yet she is as fast as lightning. She has a lightweight bank of cutting edge lithium ion batteries and an E-plex electrical system to keep her lightweight. The E-plex system utilizes cutting edge touch screens located throughout the vessel to control lighting and electronics.
